I have been told that I am a “Hair Artist”. I consider it a result of being obsessed with the desire to do my job well, combined with my ability to listen, my experience and extensive education that enable me to style your hair with outstanding results. For 10 years I studied the art of hair styling…with the greats such as Paul Mitchell, Vidal Sassoon, Trevor Sorbie, Sir Robert Clegg, Scott Cole, Yoshi, John Dellaria, Horst, Jon English among others early on in my career. Utilizing that information and moving forward has given me a palette of experience.

I have traveled the U.S. and taught hair seminars for many different companies sharing my own technique which I developed with a wealth of inspiration from many sources and experience. Many of my hair photographs have been published in trade magazines and I have developed a wonderful portfolio.

Including mentions in Magazines Vogue, Mademoiselle and Glamour. 

I worked two Spring Collections with a team for Paris Couture Fashion Week for designers Nina Riccci and Balenciaga .

Meanwhile, operating a salon of my own in Boulder County. Originally known as "Barbara The Barber" and now "Hair by Barbara Salon".
